RMF High School Spring League is for players attending High School. The league will be open to any person in grade 9, 10, or 11, interested in playing RMF or High School Football.  The league will run from April 6 – May 13.  

We are now accepting applications for the Head Coaching Positions and Assistant Coaches. Although this will be a huge commitment it is extremely rewarding.  Coaches will be working with some of the best players from Regina and surrounding area.    

Head Coach & Staff – Deadline to apply is February 28^th.  Applications are open to anyone who has coached RMF, High School, Junior or CIS Football.  Head Coaches are asked to apply and include a staff of 5 Assistant Coaches.  Each coaching staff selected will be allowed to protect a maximum of 2 players.  Coaches must be the brother, father or legal guardian of these 2 players.  The RMF Coaches Committee will select four Head Coaches with their staffs and may add additional coaches to each staff.  Head Coaching positions are open to any Coach.  We will try to announce the coaches early in March.

Assistant Coaches – Deadline to Apply is February 28th. Assistant Coaches may apply as an individual or be included on a Head Coach’s list (don’t need to do both).  Any and all Assistant Coaches that apply will be considered.  If a HC and his staff are not selected, they will be considered when we add coaches to each staff.  The RMF Coaches Committee will select the assistant coaches that may be added to a staff. Coaching staff’s will be responsible for helping with equipment hand out, equipment return and cleaning night.

Regina Football Academy

November 19, 2025—Regina Public Schools, Regina Catholic Schools and Regina Minor Football officially launched the Regina Football Academy today at Leibel Field.Regina Football Academy (RFA) is a new learning and skill-building initiative for Regina-area Grades 9, 10 and 11 students that promotes perfection of football proficiency and successful completion of academic and elective learning requirements.

The RFA program, set to begin in Semester 2 of the 2026–2027 school year, will give students the opportunity to earn high school credits while playing their favourite game—practising and perfecting football skills under the guidance of experienced coaches and educators.

The first steps to building the new Academy are to determine Regina high school student and parent interest in the RFA. High school families will receive additional information directly through Edsby communications and school division websites. High school students already enrolled in Regina-area high schools are invited to express an interest in the program. This contact information will be collected confidentially by Regina Catholic Schools and Regina Public Schools, and families will subsequently be contacted with more information.

“This program reflects our commitment to providing diverse learning opportunities that support student growth both in the classroom and on the field,” says Regina Catholic Schools Director of Education Kelley Ehman. “Student athletes stay with their home school and earn secondary credits while training with the Regina football community.”

“We’re proud to partner in a program that builds character, discipline and athletic excellence,” says Len Antonini, Executive Director, Regina Minor Football. “It’s a big challenge, but we think Regina football community is ready to build on the strength and success that is already here. Coaches are ready; parents are ready; and, most importantly, players are ready.”
